During the heatwave that we were blessed with in August, we decided to run towards the beach and get away for a night. We chose Folkestone as an assumption it would have less crowds compared to the usual popular beaches. And we were so right, the pebble beach was completely empty. “Sunny sands” which as the name suggests is the sandy beach was a lot busier, but enough space to not feel like you’re sharing a towel with a stranger!
The day was perfect as expected and got even better with the addition of the Nepalese food we had for dinner. The restaurant was called, Annapurna. Its been voted the third best restaurant in Folkestone and is so deserving of the title. I loved everything we ordered and was so affordable, I could not recommend highly enough!
Folkestone is so close to London its perfect for a day out or a weekend away. I’ll be back next summer to devour the same if not more ice cream I managed that weekend!
